For a long time, I didn't think I was "qualified" or “good enough." I didn’t have what it took. Let me explain…
If you‘ve been following my journey for a while now, you know that I’ve worked on and off with two different MLM companies, trying to become successful. Fit. Known. Supported. You know, seeking validation in all the wrong places.
If you have ever worked for an MLM company, you know that:
1) You HAVE to hustle, 24/7. You have to live & breathe the company and the products
2) All of the videos, scripts, files and pamphlets are overwhelming! Let's just call it what it is! And God forbid you said you were “overwhelmed,” ‘cause that was a sign of weakness. But that's what personal development was for, right?
3) You had to constantly invite (message and connect with people) on a daily basis, AKA copy + paste from the scripts we were given – So sorry if you got one of those from me. *Gags*
4) It’s not for everyone. It takes a special kind of person to do it and be successful at it and I was just not willing. Sorry, not sorry.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing those who have taken the MLM route because it certainly CAN work if you work it. In my situation though, because I didn’t succeed, I simply didn’t think I was capable of starting my own business or my own brand but I had such a desire- I truly am an entrepreneur at heart!
In the last week of August of 2019, I decided to go for it. I decided to work on my dream. Today, I own a small business that is FLOURISHING. Glory be to God! I'm not a millionaire (yet) but I'm doing what I love! I'm not stressed about meeting certain ranks/criteria or starting pointless conversations with strangers. ENID&co. gives me space to be creative, work with my mama/assistant and it allows me to meet dope people like YOU. I literally get to work on my own dreams and not the dreams of my up-lines.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, "ATRÉVETE-TE-TE!" *Calle 13 voice* Dare yourself! Don’t let your past, negative experiences make you feel like you don’t have what it takes because you do. Get out of your own head and trust that God has a better plan for you. The best is yet to come; not only for me, but for you, too! Xo
... And remember, God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the ones He calls. Also, remember He always has your BEST interest in mind.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." - Proverbs 16:3
PS- If you were looking for a sign, this is it.
